Baby Step Celebration

On June 5th, I went out with my Spring Collection in hopes to sign a consignment with two (2) boutiques, Plato's Closet and New York Exchange, here in San Antonio. After being rejected by Plato's Closet, for not being "trending" but being more "high couture" I was discouraged. Then, I walked into New York Exchange's new location on San Pedro, behind the Starbucks, I realized my collection belonged in this store. After talking to Amanda Alacron, the owner, we signed my first consignment! In celebration, I created the following layout for my poster ad.

Baby steps... are small milestone and need to be acknowledged.

Agatha Marie Spring/Summer 2012 now at New York Exchange, San Antonio.

The sizes held at New York Exchange are vanity sizes off the runway, ranging from a vanity 6 to vanity 8. I sell these styles in all sizes, however there is a week waiting period to receive the garments. If the garments are being requested for a custom fit there is an additional charge.

Summer Time

 HOT! HOT! HOT!

Summer time is around the corner and everyone is feeling the heat. Remember to take a bottle of water with you before you head out. Staying hydrated it the best way to defeat this heat. Also, summer trends are hot.

Old Navy has been showcase their Boardwalk Dresses since mid-spring. Love this look. It fresh and vintage and cheap!! $17 who can beat that?

DOTS that's who. Plus Size ladies don't you fret! Dots has your style. Fresh new Summer Dresses starting at $14.80. My place to shop.

Better yet! One of my Summer Dresses designed for my sister in law.

Basic Blue is now available by Agatha Marie for only $20.

Spring 2012 with Agatha Marie and IADT

New things for Agatha Marie. First, I have been working on a Spring line since December of 2011. The line debut at the 2012 International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) -San Antonio- Imagine Fashion Show on April 5 2012 at the Historic Sunset Station.

The night went great as the IADT graduates feared the worse backstage. We had models running up and down the stairs, in and out of garments. We had Designers in frantic making sure the garments are being viewed as they were meant to, and poor Britany Parker- she was the model most used in this event. Out of 12 Designers with a maximum of 6 designs each, but there were only 25 models from the Lari Nelson Fashion Group. Lets see, now that is 12 multiplied by  6, 72 garments walked down that runway by 25 fierce models. Lord, that was an amazing show.

The venue, the Historic Sunset Station, was filled, we even had seating on the balcony. This sold out event went off without a hitch, with proceed benefiting the Kristine Meza Foundation for domestic violence awareness.

This was my first mini collection, and I'm proud of it. I would have loved to use plus size models, but unfortunately that wasn't my call. But don't fret!! My fall line is in the works. Can't wait to see how God will help me present it.

Ladies, Dare to be sexy. Always true, Agatha Marie
